“An October date means that you can train during the best of the British weather, then race in the Indian summers we're becoming used to. Having taken over the running of Cheltenham’s Half Marathon for 2017 and investing and improving in key areas, consulting key event stakeholders and taking onboard expert local knowledge we are determined to deliver an event that works for the town, the residents, charities, supporters/spectators and the participants.
Unfortunately we can't guarantee the last few miles won't be tough but the more you train the more you'll enjoy it. Go on sign up - 2017 will be a special event, said James Cracknell.

Over 3,550 runners took part in the 2016 event, with many more thousands of local residents lining the streets to cheer and support the runners. The half marathon is fast becoming one of the most popular autumn events for runners across the South West and beyond.

Runners will be treated to all that this beautiful regency town has to offer, taking them into the centre of Cheltenham along the broad, tree-lined avenues and captivating scenery. The course combines regency splendour with Cotswold charm! The 13.1 mile journey will once again start and finish at the famous Cheltenham Racecourse, taking in the sights of the tree-lined Promenade towards Montpellier, and the broad, flat streets of Lansdown Road.

Early Bird Entries for Cheltenham’s Half Marathon 2017 open at 10am on Boxing Day where you can save £5 on your entry for a limited time. Early Bird Entries cost £27 for affiliated runners and £31 for unaffiliated.

All entries include a quality medal, goody bag and new for 2017, a technical t-shirt for all finishers.
